Vintage Japan Scrimshaw Discs

These high polished round ivory (Elephant Tusk) disks depict a sharp detail of a japanese landscape. The fine carving has been brought out in high refiel against the cream ivory by adding green, red blue and black pigment to the carving, a technique known as scrimshaw. 19mm in diameter.
